MAKING THE DECISION TO CONTACT JUDY LOUDIN
Things to Know About Choosing a Therapist and Being in Therapy:
A good therapist should be a caring, genuine person who creates an atmosphere of trust, confidence and understanding. It should be someone who has experience with your issue, and with whom you are able to feel comfortable. It's okay to shop around if you do not feel comfortable with the counselor you picked. Your insurance company may dictate which therapists you can see, unless you are willing to pay out of your own pocket. There is no set amount of time it takes to solve a particular problem; it depends on the individual person or couple. The therapist's role is one of listener, teacher and facilitator.
After many years of helping people make positive changes, I continue to love the work I do. I come to the counseling relationship with a vast variety of skills and experiences to offer. It is always exciting to meet new people, and I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you.
